Who We Are
Hi! We're Erin and Jamey.
We are certified Minneapolis interior designers and the founders of Bound Collaborative. Our journey started when we were randomly assigned as roommates in college. What a lucky match!
Our friendship and love for interior design led us to creating Bound Collaborative.
Since 2019, Bound Collaborative has been committed to creating safe, functional, and beautiful spaces where people can live, work, eat, sleep, play, and explore well.
Together, we can create spaces that look great and feel better.
What We Value
Our designs are collaborations rooted in the people that occupy them. We create by getting to know you, your priorities, and what you love. We are always looking for feedback so that we can understand your perspective.
Listen, connect, ideate, edit, and repeat!
Environmentally Conscious
We believe that it is our shared responsibility to care for the earth, ensuring that our planet can be enjoyed and explored by generations to come.
We are intentional to think about impactful decisions like these while partnering with you:
Product lifecycles | “How soon will this need to be replaced?”
Timeless design | “How will this design age over time?”
Durability | “How will this wear with use?”
Recyclability | “How can these materials eventually be repurposed?”
Natural & rapidly-renewable sourcing | “How are its ingredients acquired?”
Corporate responsibility | “How is this manufacturer considering their impact on the planet?”
Healthy Materials
Your space should be beautiful and healthy. While many products today look beautiful, the ingredients they are made with can be harmful for humans, animals, and the spaces we inhabit.
Let us clarify this gray area, helping you to make wise decisions without missing out on aesthetics. We get excited about understanding a product’s entire journey: where it comes from, how it is made, and the lasting impact it will have on your space once installed.
It's not about checking a box; it's about choosing the materials that are truly best for you, your space, and your community.
Community Oriented
At the core of our work, we want to see neighborhoods and communities thrive, and that starts with who we do business with. As a women-owned small business, we seek out products and services that are:
Local
Ethically made
Fair Trade Certified
Women owned
BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) owned
Certified B (Benefit) Corporations
Vintage or secondhand
Socially responsible
Meet Our Team
At the heart of Bound Collaborative are two Minneapolis interior designers, best friends, and former college roommates.
Jamey Ihde
Certified Interior Designer
After completing her interior design degree at the University of Minnesota, Erin worked for a large international architecture firm focusing on planning and design for civic and higher education projects across the Midwest.
Over her 10+ years of interior design experience, she has created a diverse portfolio of locally based commercial and residential projects. For Erin, design is the perfect balance between creative and technical.
When not designing, she enjoys biking, hiking, or cross-country skiing during Minnesota winters with her husband and young sons. Above all, she values connection with others—gathering and building communities—especially when that can be paired with design.
Jamey Ihde
Certified Interior Designer
Prior to co-founding Bound Collaborative, Jamey spent several years of her interior design career at a large international architecture firm focusing on corporate design. She believes that design starts with people.
Through thoughtful listening, she explores many design ideas to develop the best possible solution and brings organization, creativity, and adaptability to every design team. Jamey started Bound Collaborative with the goal of making quality, sustainable design accessible to the broader community.
When not designing, Jamey enjoys biking, camping, and canoeing in the Boundary Waters, as well as working on projects in her 1915 home.

What People Say About Our Work
“Working together with Erin and Jamey was the real highlight. They listened to what we were looking for, helped shape the huge range of ideas we had and brought their expertise to the table to help guide us to a vision for our home. They helped take that vision into execution by choosing items for our space that met our needs from a design perspective while being very conscious of the function needed for our family with younger kids and our budget.”
- Jen
“Erin and Jamey had the process clearly defined which allowed us as the clients to focus on the fun parts. Our favorite parts were mixing and matching the options presented to us to come up with the perfect solution for our family, both with the preliminary floor plans and later in the process with the furniture and finish selections. Erin and Jamey were so collaborative, they never seemed offended if we didn’t like something and were always willing to go back to the drawing board if a solution wasn’t quite right for our needs.”
- Amy
"Jamey & Erin were absolutely wonderful to work with! They listened to what we wanted and factored in our budget so respectfully, and their design turned out just beautiful. They were so flexible and accommodating and were able to easily shift gears whenever needed. They also went above and beyond and helped us with market research to support our investments. The space looks just great, and I am so happy with how it turned out.”
