General Questions
-
Every project is unique. We are happy to discuss your budget and options upfront so we can plan accordingly. During the project, we will always be transparent with expenses and scope, so you aren't caught off guard by final costs. Our goal is to work within your means to create something you love.
-
Yes! For many people, deciding on a color scheme is one of the most difficult parts of the design process. As trained color consultants, we have a service offering where we develop an understanding of you and your space, then create a style guide that includes finish recommendations and pairings in a visual format you can reference for years to come.
Whether you’re looking for full service interior design or you just need a color consultant to help with a portion of a project, we can assist.

Our interior design services are designed to scale with your needs. While we do work on large-scale commercial and residential projects, we’ve also helped homeowners get more functionality out of a pantry or single room in their home. If you’re unsure, just reach out! We’re always happy to have a conversation to learn more.

As Minneapolis interior designers, the majority of our projects are in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, many within 30 miles of the metro area, but we’re happy to work near and far. To date, our portfolio extends throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, Texas, and Colorado.

Residential Questions
-
The timeline for any project depends on its scope and complexity. Are you updating the finishes in a room, or are you knocking down walls and completely remodeling a space?
Before any work begins, we'll get a full understanding of your project size and goals so that we can create a timeline to follow.
-
No. In fact, speaking to an interior designer is often a great place to start. We can help you understand your needs and goals, so you know what to look for in an architect or contractor. If you need recommendations on either, we’re happy to bring them into the project as needed or offer suggestions of people we’ve collaborated with in the past.
-
We do not perform any physical building or construction. We take you through concept development, planning, material selection, and finalization of design and construction drawings. We have many contractors we have enjoyed working with on previous projects, who we can bring in or refer to you to complete your project team and make the design vision a reality. We stay present during the construction process, and we’re happy to provide guidance, revisions, and design expertise as needed.
-
We do both. We prefer to do all the ordering, purchasing, and staging of furniture for clients, as this brings our design vision to life most holistically. We have access to unique trade-only brands and custom upholstery. You get to be involved in the final decisions while we take care of the logistics, lead time, and delivery.
We also have clients who prefer to order furniture over a longer period of time, in which case we specify furniture from retail brands and provide a purchasing guide with links, finish information, and pricing.

Commercial Questions
-
Both Erin and Jamey received their Bachelor of Science degree in interior design and hold active CID certification. We are required to complete education on protecting occupants health, safety and welfare in order to renew this every two years.
We also have a deep understanding of building codes, technical requirements, universal design, and material health.
-
We have a wide range of experience in commercial spaces, including health and wellness, retail, hospitality, and workplace. Because we tailor our services to the needs and style of our clients, we’re happy to work in virtually any commercial space.
-
Yes. We are familiar with the furniture selection, bidding, and procurement process and have relationships with many local furniture dealers and representatives.
In a full-service design project from concept to construction, furniture is integral to the design vision and function of the space. We prefer to stay involved in the furniture selection and procurement process and have found that clients are relieved when we can take this on.
-
True to our name, we exist to collaborate with others. That extends beyond our clients to all of the other key parties involved in a particular project. We have experience collaborating with:
Architects
Engineers
Contractors
Food Service Vendors
Graphic Designers
Exhibit Designers
