Restaurants We Love for the Space and the Food

It’s no secret that enjoying a quality meal or drink out is something we love. To share some of our favorites, we compiled a list of a handful of places around the Twin Cities we visit for both their interior and food and drink offerings.

Myriel

Want to be transported to Europe without the long flight? Book a table at Myriel and enjoy an evening in their welcoming, beautiful space. The menu changes daily as they source from local small farms and farmers.

Gai Noi

Whether you are looking to grab a bite to eat after a day of biking the Chain of Lakes or going out to celebrate with family and friends, we love that Gai Noi is great for all occasions. Their multi-level space offers a variety of dining experiences, with the light-filled rooftop room and patio as our favorites.

Petite Leon

While we enjoy Petite Leon year round, we love how the candle-lit interior welcomes you on a cold winter night. Cozy booths, cafe tables along big windows, and ample bar seating offer a variety of options to enjoy a delicious meal.

Rosalia Pizza

Rosalia may have one of the best patios in Minneapolis tucked back between the surrounding buildings and softened by plants and flowers. A seat inside, on the main floor or in the mezzanine, is also great - giving you views of the pizza oven and out the large windows.

Must Try Food: Pizza Bianca / Charred Cauliflower

Must Try Drink: Mediterranean G&T

Tilia

You may have picked up on a common theme - we love a restaurant in the middle of a neighborhood with a warm, inviting interior and soft lighting. Tilia is exactly that with its rich dark woodwork and front windows that look out into the quaint Linden Hills area.

Kim’s

The former Sooki & Mimi has been minimally altered for its new identity as Kim’s, a Korean comfort food restaurant. The unique wood ceiling, earth toned color palette and soft lighting create a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy a drink at the bar or meal in the dining room.

Marty’s Deli

We are suckers for a quality sandwich and Marty’s delivers some of the best breakfast and lunch sandwiches in the area. The simple, well-detailed interior highlights their fun and playful branding. Call us weird, but we love the color palette happening in the bathroom. 🙂

Must Try Food: The Egg & Cheese with Braised Greens

Laune Bread

A high quality baked good is an easy way to our hearts. Laune uses sourdough and whole grains sourced as much as possible from Minnesota and the Upper Midwest and places significant value in reducing waste and caring for the planet. Their space is unfussy, with simple materials that put all the focus on the food.

Must Try Food: The savory croissant (rotates seasonally) & the sourdough cinnamon roll
