Inspired by the classic Minnesota phrase “up north,” which refers to time spent exploring Minnesota’s many lakes and forests, this global consulting firm’s Minneapolis-based office celebrates the unique culture of its landscape. Locally-sourced wood wraps circulation and gathering areas, while highly-polished concrete mimics a lake surface on a calm day, quietly reflecting surrounding elements and light. Glass-enclosed team spaces are clad in a pattern of moss insets that control views from adjacent corridors and the broader open office. This soft, tactile, and colorful material is reminiscent of the flora experienced while trekking through the woods of northern Minnesota.
